Relay for Life and the Violence Intervention Prevention Center

Every year millions of lives are touched by cancer and many of those lives are lost. Through Relay for  Life We strive to support them in their struggle, to provide hope, to celebrate those who fought their battle and won, to remember those that lost, and to remind people that they are never alone.

The Relay Story is a truly inspiring one.

Even closer to home, violence and sexual assault on college campuses is an ever present problem. From providing counseling and birth control, and simply giving students a safe haven and friendly ears to listen, The University of Kentucky's VIP center strives to reduce this issue  and help those who have been victims.

One of the main programs through which it tries to reduce violence is the Green Dot Program. This is meant to teach bystander intervention, teaching students to recognize and diffuse potentially dangerous of harmful situations.
